Lost your spark, feeling exhausted, worn out? Been through a rough patch and can barely peel yourself away from your doona, find yourself saying “I’ve Lost My Passion For Life?”
Reliving mental pictures of the old days, when you had energy, motivation, a sense of humour, optimism? Now there’s cynicism, exhaustion and feeling too tired for life. – “Lost My Passion For Life”
Libido’s crashed, living on caffeine and sugar, endlessly running the kids around and grinding out the hours at work, feeling like a hamster on a wheel.
Find yourself staring in the mirror saying “I need to find my spark again?”
Don’t lose hope your spark is smouldering somewhere deep inside.
And no it’s not because you’re old…it’s because you’ve stopped looking after you. Everything else came first and it’s time for an overhaul.
It’s time to ignite the flame!
Don’t worry your family, friends and work colleagues will thank you for it.
“Find what sparks a light in you so that you in your own way can illuminate the world.” – Oprah
Imagine bounding out of bed as the alarm goes off, you’re jumping out of your skin so exercise’s no problem and you’re ready for anything that comes your way.
I know I lost my spark in my late twenties, working crazy hours, disrespecting my body with crappy foods, little exercise and bad relationships.
I got that ‘hamster wheel feeling’ and knew things had to change because I wasn’t staying there! I had to find my spark again….and I did.
Now I look back I see the patterns, thoughts, actions and mindset that got me there. When you know better you do better.
“Don’t lose the spark that makes you….you” – CJ Peterson
Here’s six steps to finding your spark:
Step One: Clarity Is Central To Finding Your Spark
Take a moment to dream what you’d like your life to look like in five, ten or fiftenteen year’s time.
Make this an everyday practice.
Ahhh…. it feel delicious.
That’s the juice, that’s going to get you there through the ups and downs of life.
Now take stock of where you are now.
What’s three things that need to happen in next three months for you to move closer to your dream life?
Focus and consistency are the footsteps of clarity.
Let’s get walking my friend, to a spark filled life.
Step Two: Energy is Essential To Regaining Your Spark
Second stage of regaining your spark is energy.
Energy is foundational to everything.
It’s not just in your head, it’s in every cell of your body.
Having no energy is like being an inflatable toy that’s sprung a leak.
If you answered yes to any of the above, you will benefit greatly from seeing a naturopath. I can make a huge difference to unravelling the causes. CLICK HERE to book online to get it sorted.
Step Three: Rituals Are Key To Recreating The Spark In Your Life
Stop living off wishful thinking, life’s too short to hope and pray that the planets will align and you’ll be jumping out of your skin and motivated each day.
So, increase the odds by setting morning and evening rituals.
Soon your rituals will become just what you do and you can change and refine them over time.
Step Six: Empowerment Is The Glue To Finding And Keeping Your Spark
Self love equals self empowerment.
When you love yourself, you set standards for yourself and boundaries for others.
What does self love look like for you?
For me, it’s about taking care of myself by treating my body, mind and spirit like the gift they are?
I always say, the great leveller in life, “you come in with this body, you go out with this body, when it wears out so do you, so treat it with the respect it deserves.” – Julie Smethurst

You don’t have to be sick to try naturopathy. You may just want to boost your overall health or prevent an illness. – WebMD
Online Naturopath Australia – My mission is to inspire, empower and guide you to a sustainable healthy lifestyle that is simple, fun, enjoyable and adaptable.
I see so many people who walk into my clinic saying they just don’t feel quite right yet traditional doctors say there is nothing wrong and “perhaps you are just getting old, what do you expect”.
Well just because your chronological age is increasing doesn’t mean you have to get old. Ageing is optional.
I see a 70-year-old man for an occasional checkup and he surfs most days. Now, I want to be like that!
It has always fascinated me that there are people who get really old way before their time. An 80-year-old riding on his bike heading downtown for a chat compared to 57 year old in a motorised scooter picking up 12 different medication from the local pharmacy with fish and chips tucked under his arm.
Why is there such a big difference?
We are so much more than our genes. Our lifestyle and environment affect us each and every day.
My passion is to share with others what I have tried and tested over the years. Focusing on results and outcomes.
The best way to learn is by doing it.
So let’s start here and now.
1: Know Your Why.
Keeps you focused on where you are heading, feeds your momentum in good and bad times. Remember hard times are guaranteed…that is life…..but don’t last forever and there is always a lesson in them. Part of this is setting goals and intentions. Is there a special event you are preparing for or is it the consistency you are aiming for?
2. Clean Up Your Beverages
Hydration is key to cleaning out the house, body running at peak performance every day.
3. Get Moving
Basically, we eat too much and move too little. So let’s get moving!
4. Daily Rituals
These maintain great habits and guarantee you continued success. Make them fun, enjoyable and who you are.
5. Consume the Right Fuel
Clean it up, get real. Make it tasty and fun.
6. Recharging regularly
An absolute must. Act as though you are on holidays regularly. Seize moments. Plan annual holidays and mini-breaks. Get your sense of humor back. Yes, you….we know you lost it a while ago!
7. Mindset
Crucial. My motto is you can throw down as many green smoothies as you like but if you head is not in the right place you won’t get far.
8. Putting it all together
Aim for progress, not perfection. Small consistent action. Set yourself up for success. No procrastination allowed. Start somewhere, learn by experience and make it part of who you are.
Consistently improve on the greatness that already exists!
Holistic Health and Wellbeing – EIGHT WAYS TO ENHANCE SPIRITUAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Naturopathy offers a holistic approach to health care
Holistic medicine is a mode of healing that addresses the entire person including physical ailments as well as any mental or emotional issues. A naturopath offers treatment that focuses on the root cause of the illness rather than just the overt symptoms. After identifying this cause, the illness will less likely return once treatment has stopped. – Wellbeing
Spiritual health and well-being are important components of overall health.
You can not achieve truly optimal health through physical health alone.
Spiritual practices need not have anything to do with religion – any activity that makes you feel more alive, more connected to others and to nature, less isolated, and more comfortable with change can be beneficial to your mental and physical health.
Here are eight ways to help enhance spiritual health and well-being. These are lifestyle practices that everyone can incorporate in order to age gracefully and fully enjoy the benefits of life. Each day, try to do the following as a way to connect with the elements around and within you.
1.Holistic Health and Wellbeing – Pay attention to your breath. Breath is our link to our life force that circulates through us and connects us. Try the “4-7-8 Breath” breathing. Breathe in for 4 counts, hold for 7 counts & breathe out for 8 counts. If you can’t manage this at first build up to it.
2.Connect with nature. Try walking or sitting in a natural setting, whether a nature reserve, your garden or a city park. Allow yourself to slow down, drop your usual routines, and absorb the influence of nature.
3.Create a list of people in your lifewho make you feel more alive, happy, and optimistic. Make an effort to spend more time with them. Our spiritual selves resonate with others, and that connection is healing.
4.Bring flowers into your homeand enjoy them.
5.Listen to musicthat you find inspiring, energising and uplifting.
6.Admire a work of artthat brings joy to your heart – a drawing, picture, painting or sculpture
7.Reach out and try to resume connectionwith someone from whom you are estranged; practice forgiveness.
8.Do some sort of service work. Give some of your time and energy to help others. The possibilities are endless.
