Banana buckwheat smoothie mornington naturopath

This delicious smoothie is energizing and gentle on your body first thing in the morning. Buckwheat groats add a nice thickness, and are rich in protein, minerals and fiber, which can help keep you topped up for longer. You can add antioxidant-rich acai powder if you want to supercharge it.


Ingredients
• 2 tablespoons buckwheat groats, soaked overnight in water
• 4 ice cubes
• ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
• 1 banana
• 1 Tablespoon acai powder (optional)
Directions
• Rinse buckwheat groats well.
• Combine all ingredients in the blender and pulse to desired consistency.
