Has life become stressful with…..deadlines, office politics, overwhelmed by tasks to complete, never enough time in the day.
Our natural response can be to retreat to the couch to bury ourself in endless escapist movies, sport or mini-series for some R & R to rebalance.
This may not be the best plan of attack. It can often leave you feeling apathetic and unrenewed.
Active recovery may be a much better choice. What is it you ask?
Well it is doing something fun, but not regimented and can help us get back into the flow of things.
The rules of engagement are no schedules, no rushing, no planned agendas…..let the day flow, plenty of snacks and leisurely meals. It’s vacation behaviour.
You don’t have to wait til you take a vacation to act like you are on one. You can just decide to take a day out or a few hours and act as if you are on holidays.
Take the time to talk and walk and feel connected and let it refill your tank for the week ahead.
