Clutter buries the jewels. It’s tiring wading through the unnecessary, unneeded and the unused…it’s an energy sucker. What’ve you been holding onto? What needs to go? Our natural state is to feel great like we did as kids, energised and excited to get amongst it. Take stock and ask yourself, ‘what’s sabotaging or pulling me off course?’ Are you holding onto things, people, memories, bad habits, guilt, sadness, regret or resentment? The energy we spend holding onto these things consciously or subconsciously adds up and could be better used to create a more fulfilling life right now. Is it time to change your story, beliefs, and emotions that are keeping your past relevant? Ask yourself ‘what could I let go of that would allow me to have more energy?’. Being right, being perfect, being busy, over thinking, over talking, saving people from themselves, nagging, holding a grudge, spending too much time with toxic people….
Sometimes just asking the question activates your subconscious to start releasing what’s weighing you down. You may have moments of feeling quite emotional as the old narratives start to release, but if you are willing to stay present with yourself in a few days or weeks you may find a spring in your step you didn’t have before.

Like when your mother-in-law says it’s normal to be tired when you’re a mother. Projection is when someone tells you what an experience will be like, or what you’d like. They project their point of view at you. If you take that on as truth, you will end up re-creating that experience for yourself.
Ask yourself if the tiredness you’re feeling is because of someone else’s point of view. If you start to feel more energised fairly quickly, you know the tiredness you’re feeling is coming from somebody else.
3. Not listening to what your body wants is an energy sucker
Did you know your body has its own consciousness? If you ask it questions it will give you answers. You just have to be open and willing to hear them. If you close off to possibilities making assumptions, you won’t receive the information you’re really asking for.
Ask your body the question, ’what would be required for me to have more energy?’ You may be surprised by the answers or urges, like reading a book outside in the fresh air, walking along the beach, swimming the sea, cuddling the dog…
If you give your body what it desires, you’ll stop holding onto what’s making you feel tired. Chances are your energy’s up almost immediately.
4. Holding onto things that aren’t working is an energy sucker
Ask yourself ‘what am I tired of?’ or ‘what’s not serving me?’ Is it a routine? Is it the job I’m doing or a relationship in my life? Are you resistant to a change that your being desires?
If you start looking at what else’s possible for you and start taking action towards a different lifestyle, the energy around you will start moving, new possibilities will start to appear in your life, and that tired feeling will transform into a new zest for living.
You need to release what’s no longer serving you, in order to make room for something new, energizing and exciting.
